The Uniform Shop offers IHMS families both in-person shopping (at the Uniform Shop), or online purchasing.
The IHMS Uniform Shop is located at 135 McGregor Street. Proceed through the front doors and follow the signage to the basement level. Shop hours are listed below.
In-person shopping customers must make an appointment.

When visiting the Uniform Shop families are requested to:
* Have one parent present, and their child(ren);
* Please be respectful of the time slot duration.
For online orders, please note:
* all online orders are to be picked up from the IHMS Office, 650 Flora Avenue (not the Uniform Shop);
* there is an $3.00 processing fee for all online orders.

IHM School uniforms reduce an over emphasis on fashion fads and ensure the simple attractiveness of the student body. Beginning on the first day of classes every year, students are to wear the official school apparel pieces which must be purchased through the IHMS Uniform Shop.
Wearing a school uniform is mandatory for all Immaculate Heart of Mary School students. See IHMS Uniform Shop section for an explanation of the entire I.H.M. School uniform shop, and purchasing procedures
Boys’ School Uniform:
* Navy knit cardigan with embroidered school emblem (required)
* White, “Golf” shirt with silk screened school emblem, long or short sleeve styles (required)
* Navy dress pants (required)
* Navy or black socks (required)
* Black only footwear* (required)
* Navy knit vest, V-neck pullover with embroidered school emblem (optional)
* Navy walking shorts (optional)
* Navy belt (optional)
Girls’ School Uniform:
* Navy knit cardigan with embroidered school emblem (required)
* White, “Golf” shirt with silk screened school emblem, long or short sleeve styles (required)
* Navy skort – hemmed at the knee (required)
* Navy (only) leotards or knee high socks (required)
* Black only footwear* (required)
* Navy knit vest, V-neck pullover with embroidered school emblem (optional)
* Navy dress pants (optional)
* Navy walking shorts (optional)
* Navy belt (optional)
Footwear: In order to complete the ‘uniform look’, all students are to wear black footwear for classroom wear and special occasions such as school pictures, liturgy, choral performances, etc.. Separate footwear will be needed for outdoors. Runners are required for Physical Education classes. The heel on the footwear must not exceed 2.5 cm.
Please label each item of your child’s school uniform items. Many children wear the same size clothing and during the grade 1 to 8 Phys. Ed. classes, when the students change into gym attire, uniforms get exchanged in the change rooms. To avoid losing your child’s uniform, please label it. Iron on labels can be ordered through Mabel’s Labels. Permanent felt markers can also be used to label a tag.
When purchasing your school uniform order, please keep in mind:
* All IHMS Uniforms must be purchased through the IHMS Uniform Shop.
* There are both new and used uniforms for sale.
* The uniform should be tried on before being purchased.
* Uniforms are generic sizing, alterations are the parent’s responsibility.
* The golf shirts are 100% cotton so allow for some shrinkage.
* New uniform items can only be returned exchanged if they have not been hemmed or cut.
* Returns and exchanges must be done on the next Uniform Shop open day.
* Used uniforms are final sale (no exchanges / returns).
* Cheques are made out to the IHMS Uniform and can be post dated until the end of the month.
Keep in mind the wear and tear that your child will put on the uniform (pants especially). Ensure that your child has more than one shirt so that you will have ample time for laundering. It is school policy, as stated in the IHMS Handbook, that the uniform be clean and tidy at all times.
