Students assembled in the gyms to watch the “Robo-Critters” race |
On Wednesday, March 11th, the students and staff of IHMS went down to the gym to watch a group of grade 6 students race battery operated vehicles (called “Robo Critters”) around a predetermined track set up on the gym floor.
These vehicles were made a week earlier from a kit, which Mrs. Wdowiak, Mr. Fil, and a group of grade 6 parents helped the students to assemble. Robotics is a part of the grade 6 Science curriculum.
The students spent a few days practicing how to operated their vehicles, and on March 11, a few of the better students raced their vehicles against each other to determine an ultimate winner.
