Immaculate Heart of Mary School (IHMS) welcomes Ukrainians seeking refuge in our province.
IHMS has the capacity and is prepared to immediately accept students at all grade levels (Sadochok to Grade 8).
*** ALL TUITION AND RELATED FEES HAVE BEEN WAIVED. THERE WILL BE NO COST TO THE ARRIVING UKRAINIAN FAMILIES TO ATTEND IHMS.***
IHMS offers a caring, compassionate and supportive Ukrainian community.
Although our language of instruction is English, the majority of our faculty and staff and many of our students are fluent in Ukrainian.

Annual Fund Raising Raffle
This year’s Annual Fund Raising Raffle takes place on Wednesday, November 30. The Fund Raising Raffle has the potential of distributing up to 7,000.00 in prizes! There are 500 tickets printed. The first ticket drawn, and every 25th ticket drawn thereafter, will win $200.00. The final ticket drawn will be awarded $ 3,000.00. Proceeds from this fund raiser will be used for the advancement of educational programs at the school.

Gift Card Fundraiser
The IHMS Parents’ Guild is offering a gift card fundraiser, just in time for the Christmas giving season! The gift cards are purchased for their face value, so purchasers do not pay any additional costs – and the companies provide the profits to the school, which can range from 2% to 10% of the gift card values. It’s a win-win-win fundraiser for the purchasers, the Parents’ Guild, and the children who benefit from the activities supported by the Guild.

Immaculate Heart of Mary School is a Nursery (Sadochok) to grade 8 Ukrainian Catholic School in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is been owned and operated by the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate. Since its inception in 1905 the four pillars of strength the school stands on are:

Full Time Kindergarten
IHMS offers a Monday to Friday, full-day Kindergarten program that provides a strong academic and social development program with a special concern for the Ukrainian culture, and as well, faith development.

Alumni Association
Support IHMS
The IHMS – Ukraine Student Relief Fund has been established to support the educational needs of nursery to grade 8 students and their families, that have fled the war in Ukraine, and will be enrolled at IHMS. Donations to this fund will be used to offset tuition costs, supplies, uniforms, extra-educational support, or any other identified needs that will aid in the education and stability of these students and their families.
