Mrs. Wittevrongel first came to IHMS in 1988, which means she has actually completed 26 full years of teaching. At the beginning of the 1988 school year, the principal at the time, Sr. Laura Prokop had left IHMS and was replaced by Sr. Anne Pidskalny. Since Sr. Anne was the current grade 5 teacher, she was replaced by Mrs. Wittevrongel. For the next 26 years and up to the present day, Mrs. Wittevrongel has remained in grade 5 where she has consistently distinguished herself as a model of professionalism.
