IHMS had two girl’s volleyball teams for the 2013 season:
1. A competitive team made up of older and more experienced players. This team was coached by Mr. Dedio.
2. A developmental team which was coached by Mrs. Laird. Most of the players on the developmental team will make up next year’s competitive team.

The girl’s ended their season with an excellent record of 7 wins and only one loss – the same record as both of the boy’s teams! During the league playoffs, after winning their first two games, they advanced to the finals against the Christ the King Royals where they won and became the MCSAA champions for 2013! |

Although the girl’s developmental team played well, they were only able to win one game during regular season play. They continued to improve as the season progressed however, and ended up winning two crucial games at the St. Maurice tournament. Keep in mind that almost all of these girls in the developmental team are only in grade 6, and will continue to improve over the next few years.
