Mr. Danny Schur, a local writer and theatre producer, came to the school on Wednesday, June 11th to speak to the grade 5 – 8 students about a special opportunity. On November 2nd, 2014, The Lubov Foundation and Immaculate Heart of Mary School will be working with Mr. Schur to put on a very special show. While there are still a few secrets still to be revealed, one of the major roles in the musical calls for a girl between the ages of 11 and 14.
Mr. Schur spoke to the students about the importance of faith, education and opportunity. He spoke about his career and some of the many musicals and music he has written. Mr. Schur’s most famous work is “Stike: The Musical” which is currently being made into a motion picture.
Mr. Schur and IHMS will be holding auditions in September 2014 among the student body to find that special actress. More details will be released shortly- so stay tuned.
