Students and some parents assembled in the gym anxiously awaiting the beginning of the 4-8 Talent Show on June 21

In their last fund raiser for the 2015 -16 school year, SMAC (the school’s social justice committee) held two Charity Talent Shows – one for the grades 4-8 students on June 21, and one for the K-3 students the next day on June 22.

Any IHMS student who wanted to show off a talent had the opportunity to fill out an application form and demonstrate their talent to Mr. Banias and Mrs. Walkow. There were about 12 acts in the 4-8 Talent Show, and about 13 acts in the K-3 Talent Show.

Since these were Charity Talent Shows, students in attendance were required to pay $2.00 to watch the show. All proceeds of both shows were earmarked for a local charity called The Graffiti Art Project.

On Thursday, June 23, the students of SMAC presented a very appreciative representative from The Graffiti Art Project with a cheque for $1203.85. Well done, SMAC!
